Črvov vrh panorama

First aerial panorama attempt.

Flame Nebula & Horsehead Nebula

I was more interested in capturing Horsehead Nebula, but in the end Flame Nebula put on a better show. Seeing was mediocre and this late in the winter nebulas were already low on the horizon drowning in light pollution.

Seaside wallpapers

Some summer wallpapers to warm your heart in the dead of winter.

Great Nebula in Orion on a Black Moon night

Shot on a cold winter day during Black Moon on December 30, 2024. Good seeing at 670 meters above sea level. Equipment: SkyWatcher 80ED with field flattener, EQ5 Pro mount, Canon EOS 550D.

Andromeda galaxy and Pleiades

First astrophoto test of SkyWatcher 80ED with field flattener on EQ5 Pro mount using Canon EOS 550D controlled by Darktable. Shooting from my backyard with quite poor seeing (thin clouds combined with light pollution).

Comet C/2023 A3 Tsuchinshan

After a break in the rainy weather I finally caught a glimpse of the comet. It was already moving away from us and seeing was poor in the valley, but the tail was still looking impressive. I found better location two days later, but the tail was already considerably shorter. Equipment: Nikon D70s with Nikkor 35mm f/1.8 lens.

Kubus monument panorama

Panoramic view from Kubus monument on Oštarije pass, Croatia.

Mesoamerican pyramids in Mediterranean?!

Nah, it's the Kubus monument on Oštarije pass (927 m), built in 1846 to honor the builders that carved this road from Karlobag to Gospić over Velebit. They also didn't forget to include some breathtaking views...

Maister observation tower panorama

Panoramic view from Rudolf Maister Observation Tower in Zavrh, Lenart.

First light

Assembly and first test of SkyWatcher 80ED on NEQ5Pro mount. A bit finicky job, but luckily I had very capable assistant.

Lunar halo

Halo around the moon is caused by the refraction of moonlight from ice crystals in the upper atmosphere. More info on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/22%C2%B0_halo Equipment: Google Pixel 3XL.

Comet C/2022 E3 ZTF

"The green comet" was proving a bit of a challenge because of freezing cold weather and early mornings... But was looking amazing in a tiny Celestron FirstScope 76mm. Equipment: Nikon D70s with Nikkor 35mm f/1.8 lens.
